Pricing

After reading our prices you’ll probably ask yourself the inevitable question, ‘What’s the catch?’ The simple answer is, there isn’t one.

We are able to offer this level of value due to a basic combination of the efficient workflow of unattended sessions and very low overheads, so feel free to proceed with confidence. We do also offer attended mastering sessions under special circumstances, on a time plus materials basis. Please contact us for more details.

MP3 Format Optimization:

With the music industry rapidly moving towards making the mp3 it’s primary sale format, we now offer a service specifically tailored to getting the most out of this sometimes unforgiving medium. We use our own customized EQ curves and encoding algorithms (each dependent on the style of music) to ensure your tracks sound their best regardless of the constraints of the format.

All mp3 mastering is charged at the same rate as our CD mastering. Please be aware that while a master created for CD, although not ideal, is usually acceptable for conversion to mp3 we do not recommend it the other way round!

Track Mixing and Stem Mastering:

We also offer stem mastering or a full mixdown service to & from 24 track tape or Protools HD using Prism converters on a custom Audient console. Please follow the link to our Stem Mastering & Mix Services or contact us for more details.

Terms & Conditions
Further Information

Payment:

Payment is due on the day of dispatch of your masters unless we have agreed credit terms. Credit is offered on a discretionary basis over a maximum period of 30 days from date of invoice.

Turnaround:

Normal turnaround is 2/3 working days from receipt of your mixes unless stated otherwise. Please let us know in advance the dates & times of any particular deadlines.

Additional mixes:

Instrumentals, radio edits, acapellas etc. run with the same settings are charged at 50% of the original for each pass. This may vary for masters involving tape transfers.

Revisits:

Sadly at this price point we have to charge at our normal rate for any revisits if this is deemed by us to be an artistic choice and not any technical fault on our part. However with careful reading of our mix and submission guidelines and an agreed selection of suitable reference material, this should never be called for.

We advise all vinyl clients where budget allows, to purchase a reference acetate from us before requesting test pressings from the factory prior to manufacture.

Sadly we cannot accept any liability for technical issues arising as a result of not having done so. Any re-cut required post manufacture, without having gone through the test pressing process, will be charged at the normal rate.
